For over forty years, Foxfield has been the premier destination for nationally recognized steeplechase races in the heart of Charlottesville, Virginia. Nestled amidst the picturesque countryside, Foxfield offers residents and visitors a chance to witness the thrilling spectacle of horse racing while enjoying the area's natural beauty. Growing up in Charlottesville I attended the races every fall and spring. Collecting inspiration from the beautiful core of their work and events, I knew I wanted to create something for them.

Not being impressed by former posters I knew I wanted to make something more creative. I aimed to encapsulate the vibrant energy and storied tradition of the event. The design features dynamic imagery of steeplechase horses in mid-jump, acomanied by their jockies. The poster's color palette draws from the natural surroundings and the classic Foxfield colors, using greens, yellows and blues.

The Foxfield logo is prominently displayed, symbolizing the event's legacy and commitment to preserving its equestrian heritage. Details of the race, including date and location, are presented in an elegant, easy-to-read format, ensuring that the poster is both informative and visually appealing.
