What is secret sandwich society?:

“At Secret Sandwich Society, our mission is to create thoughtfully sourced foods, crafted with passion, meant to nourish and fulfill our guests. We are proud to use premium beef, pork, deli meats and all natural chicken breast.”

After studying their menu, website, socials and customers I recognized that the Secret Sandwich Society is not just a place to grab a quick meal; it's a culinary masterpiece with a purpose. Their mission is simple yet profound: to provide our guests with thoughtfully sourced foods, but to keep the secret, whatever that secret is. When working with my designs/microsite/tshirt I wanted to make sure it was understood the importance of their specialties and secrets. From premium beef and pork to high-quality deli meats and all-natural chicken breasts, they prioritize top-notch ingredients. They don't just aim to feed their guests; they are more than a restaurant but a persona. When you dine at Secret Sandwich Society, you become part of their “secret” community. While their restaurant and socials do not have much to change, it was fun to prioritize what they already have but also make something new. Their logo is a simple, classic design but around their website you’ll find mysterious symbols and names that spice up the idea of their secret society. Along with a simple logo, they stick to a very easy color palette with just blacks and white. Again, alluding to the secret with very limited options. Finally, their typography and the fonts they use are simple and easy to read, but are very bold and in your face. While they are simple, they all make a statement. I think something I knew I did not need to change was their marketing materials, they showcase  images of their sandwiches in all their mouthwatering glory. The images highlight the dedication that goes into crafting each sandwich and emphasize the deliciousness of their offerings.

I aimed to make their graphics, website, and social media as unforgettable as their "secret" mission and delectable food. To achieve this, I developed a cohesive design strategy encompassing a microsite, social media graphics, and a t-shirt design, all inspired by the festive spirit of the holidays. For the microsite, I selected imagery that captures the essence and excellence of their culinary creations and mission. The design emphasizes their brand’s unique story and the joy their food brings to customers, creating an immersive and visually appealing online experience. Drawing inspiration from the holiday season, I crafted a series of social media graphics that highlight gift cards and other gifts perfect for family and friends. These graphics are vibrant and festive, designed to evoke the warmth and generosity of the holidays, encouraging engagement and sharing. The t-shirt design reflects the brand's identity and secret mission. I used the Buddha (being one of their sandwiches) but also an all knowing man. I incorporated elements that resonate with their unique narrative.
